Bay Area Stars Match Preview

Sunday kickoff time can't come quick enough for Brendan Keyes and his players as the match against Bay Area Stars is lining up nicely as a chance to open a gap between the Pirates and their rivals.

Both teams currently sit with two wins out of four and the three points would give them a psychological advantage even at this early stage of the season. Also Sundays set of games sees first and second placed sides squaring off against each in a top of the table clash where a win for Elite FC coupled with a Pirate victory would see the Galveston side move into second spot.

Player News

After being out all year, Antonio Contreras, who is maybe one of the clubs best player's is available to us again and will play his first game of the season giving us some added class as he is.

Francisco Alvarez may also play as he's missed the last two games.

It appears the side have no real injuries for the first time this season and Brendan may well field his strongest team possible.

The coach said:"We will need to be strong as the Stars are very good team."

Sean Heathcock is my starting keeper now and he has been great plus Eloy Aguirre can play outfield which is another bonus for us.

Carlos Maradiaga is also back this week after his one match ban and anyone who has seen this kid will agree he has the potential to make it to the highest level.

So everything on the Pirate front is looking good in preparation for Sundays match, all we need is a win and the three points brought home to the ship to be locked away with all the other Pirate booty we have plundered.
