Houston Strikers Prime Match Preview

After a week of deck scrubbing was forced upon the crew mates due to the defeat inflicted on them by Bay Area Stars last weekend, the Pirates are full of vigour and ready to plunder the booty from Houston Strikers Prime in what is a six pointer.

Captain Keyes was threatening ten of the lash should his side capitulate another victory like last weekend but he said:"Aye, the lads are up for it, they know they'll be dragged along the yardarm should we sink again. There will be no rum for the landlubbers unless we pillage a victory by hook or by crook!"

Crewmate Vela is out of this one on suspension due to reaching the limit of two yellow cards and another three regulars are also out but due to the teams strength in numbers, the side is still looking strong with around 14 or 15 players available for this match.

Keyes said:"We really must win this game as we are in sixth place but it's a tight league and we currently sit only three points behind second place so that's our goal for now, second spot. To be honest second place is really our season end aim as Elite are running away with it at the moment."

Talking longer term he carried on:"The top three teams at the end of December will be entered into the State cup so we really need to put a run together. Also we got a hard draw for the next round of the Memorial Cup against Premier league side CD Houston. They might be struggling in the top flight at the moment but still play a division above us so it will be tough for us to progress."

Sunday's match will see the Pirates go with a x-x-x formation (sorry no insights) in their search to secure 3 points to get back on track.

Arrrrgggghhhhhh!
