WOW, February was a glorious month for the Pirates with so many new players trying out throughout the month.

With NPSL soccer just around the corner in May, we have extended the tryout period into March in the search for more and more players.

Players from Kansas, San Antonio and Dallas have all flown in to try out for the new NPSL side and recent acquisition Eric Ongao - former Kenyan International - was one of the trialists that has made the grade and joined the growing ranks.

With 5 of the 50 that tried out being signed to the playing squad, you have a greater than average chance of picking up a place at Galveston's ONLY Professional Sports Team

Tryouts will continue to be held every Wednesday evening throughout the month with the dates being 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th at the League City Sportsplex.

Cost is $50 with tryouts running from 7.30pm until 9.30pm. (Be early to announce yourself to coach)

All players are asked to bring a ball, full soccer gear and water and all participants will receive a Pirate t shirt on completion of the tryout.

The new NPSL Pirate Soccer side are still currently competing on four fronts, HFA, National Cup, Memorial Cup, State Cup and this summer will see NPSL added. It's an exciting time to be a Pirate.

NPSL league dates are due to start in May this year and will run through until August.

This is a great opportunity for former Pro players, College players and players looking to make it to MLS and beyond.
