Game this Sunday the 9th

Galveston Media Relations:  The Galveston Pirate ship is light this week, the team has 8 players missing said Coach Keyes, 5 injured players and some out of town.  That's why it's a squad in the game today, you need at least 22 players so when guys get injuries you have players to step in.  I told the guys that in practice on Thursday, they responded well.  It gives players the chance to step up, make a claim to start the following game with a good performance.   I will make no excuses,  I told the players the same, step up and be counted.  The pirates come into the game after scoring 13 goals in the last two games shooting up the league table to third place.  A win this Sunday will cement that position going into the Memorial Cup the following weekend.  I have a great bunch of players said Coach Keyes, they work hard in practice, they give it their all on the field.  We still have players to come back from injury, so we are going to get stronger in the second half of the season.  Antonio Lopez hasn't played a game for us yet in HFA, he is still along way from coming back, he is a very strong player for us and will make a big impact on his return to the team.  The Pirate will have Pratik Shinde who hails from India ready to play some minutes again this weekend, Coach Keyes said we will bring him along slowly, maybe play him 15, 20 Minutes this weekend see how it goes.  Shinde knows the pace of the game is a lot quicker than he is used to playing in India and needs to adjust quickly.  He is getting better with every practice said Coach Keyes and I think he will challenge for a starting role soon.
